Spring Summer 2027
Spring / Summer 27 begins with a practical question: what a woman can put on at nine in the morning and still be wearing at nine at night, without having thought about it twice. She works. She moves through the day quickly. She does not want to go home and change.
The answer, as it usually is, was in the cutting. Everything here is tailored: the shoulder of the safari blazer, the low waist of the wide-leg trouser, the way the bias skirt follows the hip without a seam at the front. The cloth is Italian, chosen for how it falls rather than how it photographs. Minimal, but never severe — there is something sporting left in it, in a drawstring pulled through a linen waist, and most plainly in the velvet bomber. Silk, cropped, ribbed at the cuff and hem, it goes over tailoring and it goes over what she left the Pilates studio in, and it is the same jacket in both. That is the whole argument of the collection: dressed, without having changed.
The colour came from Cuixmala, on the Jalisco coast of Mexico — the ochre walls, the Moorish domes, the light late in the afternoon. The chevron print is that place, redrawn. ERA BY NAZ is not from one place and neither is the collection: a little streetwear, a little of the Moorish warmth that drew it there, and a great deal of how women actually dress now, in several cultures at once.
Look nine is the case for layering: the Sky Cape over the Sky Trench Coat, worn together or each on its own. It is where the streetwear in the collection comes closest to the surface and the tailoring is most exact — the cape cut asymmetric with a slit for the arm, the trench closing beneath it on a hidden placket.
